- Two identical stars, a fixed distance D apart, revolve in a circle about their mutual center of mass, as shown above. Each star has mass M and speed 𝜈. G is the universal gravitational constant. Which of the following is a correct relationship among these quantities?

F_c = ma_c
So I did set the two above equations equal for the solution. But is that not in effect ignoring one of the m's in the orbital motion? I feel like it should be F_c = 2ma. How should I think about it?
